Vidhyarthy is a white-label SaaS platform that enables coaching institutes to launch their own fully branded mobile apps. We are committed to protecting the privacy of institute owners, teachers, and students. This policy applies to all data processed through the Vidhyarthy platform, including the web dashboard and mobile apps deployed for your institute.

Institute & Admin Data
When a coaching institute signs up for Vidhyarthy, we collect the institute name, owner name, email address, phone number, and branding assets (logo, colors) required to configure your branded app.
Teacher & Student Data
Teachers and students registered through your institute's app provide their name, email, phone number, and profile photo. Students may also provide academic details such as enrolled batches and exam results.
Usage & Activity Data
We collect data about how users interact with the platform — including live class attendance, exam submissions, study material downloads, doubt forum activity, and notification interactions.
Payment Data
Payments are processed through Razorpay. We do not store card numbers, CVVs, or full payment credentials. We receive and store transaction IDs, payment status, and amounts for order management and reconciliation.
Device & Technical Data
We collect device type, operating system, app version, IP address, and crash logs to ensure reliable app performance and debug technical issues.
To Deliver the Platform
Your data is used to operate the core features of the Vidhyarthy platform — scheduling live classes, conducting exams, delivering study materials, processing payments, and enabling student-teacher communication.
To Configure Your Branded App
Institute branding information (name, logo, colors) is used exclusively to white-label the student-facing app so that students see your institute's identity, not ours.
To Send Notifications
We use push notification services to alert students and teachers about upcoming live classes, new exams, uploaded materials, and resolved doubts — based on the preferences set by the institute admin.
To Improve the Platform
Aggregated, anonymised usage data helps us understand how features are used and where we can improve the experience for institutes and their students.
To Provide Support
Contact information is used by our support team to respond to technical queries, onboard new institutes, and resolve issues.
Razorpay
Payment processing is handled by Razorpay (razorpay.com). By making a payment through the app, you agree to Razorpay's terms and privacy policy. We only share the transaction data needed to process and verify payments.
Cloud Infrastructure
Our platform is hosted on secure cloud infrastructure. Data is stored in encrypted form and access is restricted to authorised personnel only.
No Data Selling
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data or your students' data to any third party for marketing or commercial purposes. Ever.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Vidhyarthy, our users, or the public.
Active Accounts
We retain institute, teacher, and student data for as long as the institute's account is active on the platform.
After Account Closure
When an institute closes its account, we delete or anonymise all associated data within 90 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as tax records.
Exam & Result Data
Exam submissions and result data may be retained for longer periods at the institute's request, for record-keeping and student performance tracking.
Encryption
All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard TLS. Data at rest is encrypted in our databases.
Access Control
Access to production data is restricted to authorised engineers and is subject to strict internal access policies. We conduct regular security reviews.
Incident Response
In the event of a data breach that affects your institute's data, we will notify the institute admin within 72 hours and take immediate corrective action.
Access & Correction
Institute admins can view and update their institute's profile, teacher records, and student records directly from the admin dashboard at any time.
Data Deletion
You may request deletion of your institute's data by contacting us at contact@vidhyarthy.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
Data Portability
You may request an export of your institute's data — including student records, exam results, and payment history — by contacting our support team.
Student Accounts
Our platform is used by coaching institutes that may enroll students under the age of 18. Student accounts for minors are created and managed by the institute admin, who is responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from parents or guardians in accordance with applicable laws.
Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify institute admins of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
