Terms of Service

Agreement

By accessing or using the Vidhyarthy platform — including the web dashboard, mobile apps deployed for your institute, and any associated services — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the platform.

Who These Terms Apply To

These terms apply to all users of the Vidhyarthy platform, including institute owners and admins, teachers and staff, and students enrolled through an institute's branded app. Institute admins are responsible for ensuring that teachers and students using their app comply with these terms.

Account Creation

Student and teacher accounts are created by institute admins. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You must notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

Access Levels

The platform supports multiple roles: Superadmin (institute owner), Admin, Staff (teachers), and Student. Each role has specific permissions as configured by the institute. Vidhyarthy reserves the right to modify or restrict access levels at its discretion.

Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate and complete information when setting up your institute, creating user accounts, and updating your profile. Providing false information may result in suspension or termination of access.

Account Security

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Vidhyarthy supports biometric authentication (fingerprint/face) as an additional security layer but does not guarantee security against all unauthorized access.

Content You Upload

Institutes are solely responsible for all content uploaded to the platform — including study materials, exam questions, notices, and announcements. You represent that you have the necessary rights to all content you upload and that it does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights.

Student Data

Institutes are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from students and, where applicable, from parents or guardians of students under the age of 18 before enrolling them on the platform. You are the data controller for your students' data.

Payment Collection

Institutes are responsible for setting accurate pricing for courses and materials, configuring their Razorpay account, and complying with all applicable financial and tax regulations in India regarding fees collected from students.

Exam Integrity

While Vidhyarthy provides anti-cheat tools (fullscreen enforcement, tab-switch detection, copy/paste blocking), institutes are ultimately responsible for maintaining the integrity of their examinations and communicating exam rules to students.

Prohibited Conduct

You may not use the platform to upload, share, or distribute content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable. You may not use the platform to harass, threaten, or abuse other users.

No Reverse Engineering

You may not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Vidhyarthy platform or any of its components.

No Unauthorized Access

You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform, other users' accounts, or any server or network connected to the platform.

No Scraping or Automation

You may not use automated tools, bots, or scripts to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the platform without prior written permission from Vidhyarthy.

Payment Processing

Payments on the Vidhyarthy platform are processed by Razorpay. By making a payment, you also agree to Razorpay's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Vidhyarthy does not store your full payment credentials.

Revenue Flow

Course and material purchase revenue is settled directly into the institute's Razorpay account. Vidhyarthy's platform fee, if applicable, is deducted as per the agreed commercial terms between Vidhyarthy and the institute.

Refund Policy

Refund policies for courses and study materials are set by the individual institute. Vidhyarthy does not independently issue refunds for institute-sold content. For platform subscription fees, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us at contact@vidhyarthy.com.

Disputes

Payment disputes between students and institutes are the responsibility of the institute. Vidhyarthy will cooperate in providing transaction records but is not a party to disputes between institutes and their students.

Vidhyarthy IP

The Vidhyarthy platform, including its design, software, features, and branding, is the intellectual property of Vidhyarthy (operated by WebAziz). Nothing in these terms transfers any IP rights to you.

Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to the platform — exam questions, study materials, class recordings, and institute branding. By uploading content, you grant Vidhyarthy a limited license to store and display it solely for the purpose of providing the platform to your institute.

White-Label License

Vidhyarthy grants institutes a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the platform under the institute's own branding. This license does not include the right to sub-license, resell, or white-label the platform to third parties.

Platform Availability

Vidhyarthy strives for high availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free service. Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance may occasionally affect access to the platform.

Third-Party Services

The platform integrates with third-party services including Razorpay (payments), YouTube (live streaming), and Firebase (notifications). Vidhyarthy is not responsible for the availability or performance of these third-party services.

No Educational Warranty

Vidhyarthy provides technology infrastructure for coaching institutes. We make no representations or warranties regarding the educational outcomes, student performance, or business results achieved through the platform.

Scope of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vidhyarthy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of revenue, data, or business — arising from your use of or inability to use the platform.

Maximum Liability

In any event, Vidhyarthy's total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to these terms or the platform shall not exceed the amount paid by you to Vidhyarthy in the three months preceding the claim.

By You

Institutes may terminate their use of the platform at any time by contacting Vidhyarthy. Upon termination, your institute's data will be deleted or anonymised within 90 days, as described in our Privacy Policy.

By Vidhyarthy

Vidhyarthy may suspend or terminate access to the platform immediately, without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms of Service, engaged in fraudulent activity, or if continued access poses a risk to other users or the platform.

Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to access the platform ceases immediately. Sections of these terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect, including intellectual property, limitation of liability, and governing law provisions.

Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.

Dispute Resolution

Before initiating any legal proceedings, you agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us at contact@vidhyarthy.com. We will make good-faith efforts to resolve the issue within 30 days.

Updates

Vidhyarthy may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify institute admins of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 7 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
